In a significant development for healthcare in Arunachal Pradesh, a new dialysis center was inaugurated at Naharlagun District Hospital on March 15, 2026. The center, a collaboration between the state government and Arunachal Renal Foundation, will serve over 200 dialysis patients in the region.
The facility features 10 modern dialysis machines and a team of trained technicians and nurses. Patients from Papum Pare, East Kameng, and West Kameng districts will no longer need to travel to Itanagar or Guwahati for treatment.
"This is a dream come true for thousands of patients who have been struggling with the logistics and costs of traveling long distances for dialysis," said Dr. Tage Kani, Chairman of Arunachal Renal Foundation.
The center will operate from 6 AM to 10 PM daily, accommodating both morning and evening shift patients. Subsidized treatment is available for BPL card holders.
