Arunachal Renal Foundation was honored with the State Healthcare Excellence Award 2026 in a ceremony held at the Legislative Assembly Hall on International Women's Day. The award recognizes the foundation's outstanding contribution to kidney disease treatment, prevention, and awareness in Arunachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu presented the award to Dr. Tage Kani, acknowledging the foundation's efforts in establishing dialysis services in underserved areas.
"This award belongs to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who has stood with us in our mission," said Dr. Kani in his acceptance speech. "But our work is far from done. We will continue until every patient in Arunachal Pradesh has access to the dialysis and treatment they need."
ARF has provided over 25,000 free or subsidized dialysis sessions since its inception in 2020, serving patients from all 26 districts of the state. The foundation currently supports 347 patients on regular dialysis.
